THE SOYOUZ 19 - APOLLO 18 ASTP CELESTIA ADD-ON

This part of "Back in USSR" shows the Soyouz ASTP mission during which both Russians and Americans joined each other in the space on July 17, 1975. Since the Soyouz 11 accident, the cosmonauts, who were supposed to flight with Soyouz 12 towards Saliout 1, were transferred on the Soyouz ASTP mission (we meet again Alexei Leonov from the N1 Lunar Mission). A new docking system is used for the training which will last several years.

It is the first mooring I realised with Gilles Morére, the timing for the mission are correct, however the ssc file shall still be adjusted. I am still looking to get additional information regarding the position of the vessels as the ones I obtained for Soyouz 4-5. The Apollo vessel is a Shrok creation who realize the first add-ons too. I modified the vessel and added some textures. I like to thanks Frank Gregorio who provided me, on the Net, some excellent pictures which helped me a lot for both modelling and texturing.
